Two Hours Til Open
What is the best way to handle a cheating husband? Kill yourself. Not your physical self; but
your morals, values, and identity. Kill the things that constitute your very essence and eliminate
everything that makes you, YOU. This is what Kimberly King felt she had to do when she
agreed to transition to an open marriage with her husband Carl.
After suffering a ten-year relationship riddled with infidelity, Kimberly becomes desperate to
save her marriage. With her self-worth and esteem at stake, she believes that an open marriage
would bring fidelity back into their lives. Kimberly reasoned that if Carl’s adultery is fueled by
secrecy, then it can be unfueled by the transparency of knowing about it in advance. After they
discuss and implement new rules and boundaries, they set a date. Kimberly and Carl decide to
commemorate the opening day by having sex in their own home, at the same time, with different
partners.
Two Hours Til Open is the story of the two hours leading up to the “Grand Opening” of the King
marriage. Each partner has chosen a person, invited them over, and before having sex, will
introduce them to the other spouse. Carl has a special surprise for Kimberly. The woman that he
has chosen to have sex with is a woman from his past, whom he is still in love with. What he
does not know is that Kimberly has chosen the same woman to be her partner for the opening as
well. Tensions build as both spouses have tricks in store for their own grand finale. After
experiencing the many emotional twists and turns of the day, it will become apparent that no one
is exempt from the irrational decisions that make us all human.

Sister Soldier
Like Mel Gibson’s We Were Soldiers, Tara Montgomery’s moving new novel, Sister Soldier, delves into what it is like to be a woman and a soldier in today’s complicated military. With an insider’s rare perspective, she reveals how women today lean on one another during the hard times and the good, and how they band together both as women and as soldiers.
Montgomery explores divorce, sexual harassment, custody issues and female illnesses, all problems compounded by the fact that these women are in the military. While their male counterparts seem to be on the evening news and starring in their own movies, Montgomery’s novel shows that women’s issues are no less courageous or inspiring. Sisterhood—whether in the military or in civilian life-is powerful.
